It is now our busiest time of the year, as the beautiful wedding season is upon us!
At this moment in time we are now fully booked for the months of April, May, June and very limited for July & August this year. If you would like to consider The Candy Company to be part of your special event, then please contact us and we will be happy to let you know if your date is still available.
Unfortunately we were unable to attend our last wedding fayre in Ashby last Sunday, due to the EASTER snow!! and we know we had a few disappointed brides and grooms that were wishing to come and see us in our full glory that day too - which makes it even worst for us. But we really were not expecting to having to cancel, especially to snow at the end of March - what is happening to our weather guys?
However due to our recent relocation of our business premises, we are able to offer you the opportunity to come and have us show you our serves, hold meeting and consultations from the comfort of our new candy HQ - we already have some meetings set up for this week, so we better get polishing that glassware and ordering in some special candy for our visitors :)
So if you would like to pay us a visit, just let us know by contacting us either by email or giving us a quick telephone call and we would be happy to arrange an appointment for you.
Sweet wishes peeps x
It has been a busy few weeks for us here at The Candy Co's HQ - Events, wedding fayres, new bookings, orders and even moving premises!
We have files full of images to sort through from recent events and orders that really do need adding to the website, but just have not had the time - so until we do, here is a quick snippet of Vickie & Adam's wedding that took place at Hothorpe Hall to keep those taste buds sweet!
Vickie & Adam wanted a Candy Cart with colours that ran through their wedding day of Navy blue & White. As you can see Vickie just loved what we created for them both and we were so happy that we were part of their special day. Congratulations to you both!
It’s hard to believe that we are half way through March already and spring is almost upon us (if it ever stops snowing)!
Although this is one of our busiest times, we like to make the most of the Wedding Fayre season so that we can get out and about to meet lots of lovely Brides, their families, friends and occasionally even the Groom!
As we are coming up to the end of our 2nd year (where did that go!!) of wedding fayre seasons - so we are now starting to get a reasonable idea of how these work, lol! Together with comments we’ve received from our brides we thought we would share our ideas with you so that you can get the best out your time you spend at these events.
Size doesn’t matter!
As with most things wedding fayres come in all shapes and sizes! From the large National/UK events lasting 2-3 days to a small 3 hour showcase at your local hotel, church hall or wedding venue. Irrespective of the size and scale, you are dedicating your time to going along so you need to make the best of it!
Whatever type of show you go along to, you will be bombarded with information, leaflets, flyers, brochures, website details, etc and this is wonderful if you’re at the very early stages of planning your wedding. If this is the case try and visit as many exhibitors as possible but don’t spend too long with each one as, particularly with the larger events, you may run out of energy before you get round to them all (yes you need boot camp fitness for this, so make sure you get in training as soon as you can!).
As you go round the stands you will start to get an idea of what you like and what you don’t! As you collect your favourite ideas you can go back and speak to these exhibitors in more detail – no one exhibiting at a wedding show will mind answering any questions if you are showing an interest in the service they provide!
First Impressions Count!
Obviously one of the main benefits of wedding fayres is that you get to meet people who potentially may be part of one of the most important days of your life!
You get an ideal opportunity at these events to not only see what is on offer but also how you feel about the provider, how interested they are in you, their understanding of your needs and how you relate to them. We have several brides who have said that one of the reasons they choose us was because of how we came across at these events – equally as many brides have also commented that they have been put off by the attitude of an exhibitor and the lack of interest shown in their plans – after all it is your day!!
If you are attending these events at a later stage in your wedding planning and have a clearer idea about what you are looking for you can be more focused on the services you need. It can be a good idea to make a list before you go so you can focus your energy on searching these out and spending more time discussing your requirements. If you have time left over you can always browse around the other stands which may inspire a different idea or two!
Love to meet you too!
If you have thought about using our services, but ideally would like to meet us personally this is a great time, as we still have a few wedding fayres left to attend

It's been a busy few weeks here at The Candy Co with events and wedding fayres combined and it doesn't seem to be stopping - not complaining what-so-ever!
On Sunday we attended the Chesford Grange wedding fayre in Kenilworth, which turned out to be an extremely busy event with lots of brides and grooms wanting to book on the day to avoid disappointment of their wedding day becoming unavailable.
If you have not had a chance to see us in person yet, we will be attending Rotherly Hotel in Leicester on Sunday 24th Feb for their wedding fayre (details can be found below) - come on over and get to sample some of our delicious sweets :)
We are also spending this week trying to catch up with everything - one being updating are DIY Sweet Tree Kits shop. These should be available once again from the end of this week - fingers crossed! plus we are being busy bees getting everything ready for Vicki & Adam's wedding on Friday at the beautiful Hothorpe Hall, Lutterworth. I am sure we will get a chance to take some pictures to share with you. xx

Hope to see you there!
We were thrilled to be asked to provide our Ferrero Rocher Tower and make a bespoke Lindt Chocolate Tree for a bride and groom this weekend.
Thrilled because this was our very first Asian wedding we have attended and wow was it amazing! The venue The Platinum Suite, Leicester which can hold up to 1000 guests! was dressed out beautifully with a stunning stage and dazzling white sparkling dance floor and also had a marquee for the drinks reception (where the tower and tree were placed) - it was simply stunning and the staff were incredibly friendly. Take a look at some of the photos we managed to get
She downloaded our PDF File and popped out to the shops, got busy and voila a beautiful Ferrero Rocher Tree.
She emailed us to let us know how much fun she had making it and has already set about making another Haribo tree already! She thanked us for the very useful instructions and can't wait for another special occasion to arrive to start creating another sweet tree for her recipent.
Well done Nicola and you are more than welcome for as much support as you need on your next creation :)
If you fancy creating your very own sweet tree, take a look at our 'make you own' online shop - which you will find under the header Sweet Trees - sub title Make your own! and start getting creative just like Nicola!
We can always pencil you in for now until you are certain!
Which is best? Well it depends on you. It can be tempting to think a DIY Candy Buffet is a cheaper option but there will be a lot of work involved for you and you'll still end up spending a lot more tha you think.
The glassware involved in candy Buffets is heavy and bulky and therefore difficult to transport to your venue. It also requires setting up on the morning of the Wedding and collecting the next day. The Candy Company do all of this for you and you can trust our experience and expertise to know that your display will be exactly as you imagined.
Do-It-Yourself Candy Buffet
Buying the large volume of sweets required will also mean you have to store them all in a cool dry area so your home may end up looking like a sweet shop (plus you'll have to avoid the temptation of tucking into them!) and you also need to buy enough scoops, tongs, bags, labels and ribbon.
We're confident that if you price up everything for your candy buffet, you'll see our prices are very competitive. If we just did one Wedding or event, we wouldn't make any profit. Candy Buffets are only profitable for us as we don't have to buy new jars, scoops and tongs each time. However we do buy all of your sweets, design and produce your labels and buy bags just for your special event.
